A visit to Death Valley National Park is one sure-fire way to turn up the heat. Why? Well, quite simply, because it’s known for being one of the hottest, driest and lowest places on Earth.  Temperatures can hit the high 40s in the summer, and these temperatures have created a strikingly beautiful landscape. Towering sand dunes and seemingly endless salt flats create a barren, other-worldly spectacle that’s more than worth sweating for.
