Awesome way to see a lot of the USA

Reviewed December 2012

This was my first Trek America trip but my third tour away but it was probably the best I've done

You see so much of the USA - from the White House in DC, to Bourbon St. in New Orleans, Mexican Hat, Monument Valley, the Grand Canyon and of course Vegas! Because of the dates we travelled, we were in New Orleans for New Year, which was amazing!

We stayed in a mixture of hostels, hotels and log cabins, all of which were good and the hostels were all clean and most had a good atmosphere. There is a lot of travelling on this Trek but it is like being on a proper American road trip and you get long enough in places to not feel like you're constantly on the road.

As our Guide said, you end up seeing more of the US than most Americans ever see and now that I've done the south Cross Country, I'm hopefully gonna do the northern route sometime soon!

Fantastic!!

It's been almost 4 years, but I remember this trip like it was yesterday.
I loved the variety of cities, sights and nature. From the populated cities to the deserted parks and valleys. The accommodation is very nice along the way, from crowded hostel rooms, to cabins in the woods and big city hotels and even an apartment. The amount of optional thing to do is very good too. There are soooo many opportunities to spend all the money you have on amazing experiences.

Absolutely epic!

I loved this trip. The variety of places you see is amazing, from cities like Washington and San Diego to the vast spaces of Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon. There is a lot of travelling on this trip, but it is worth it to see so much in such a short space of time! Be prepared for Texas, though, it takes about 4 days to drive through it and theres not a whole lot to see! The payoff is worth it though, it's not long until you get to Carlsbad caverns and, of course, Vegas! It's also a great trip for music lovers, Memphis and Nashville are music towns. I said the word epic so many times, it really is the best way to describe this trip!

Diverse places to visit

Reviewed November 2012

This was my 11th tour and 5th Trek Tour. Since I didn't really enjoy spending time with some of the people on the tour, 3 weeks was a long time. To travel such a distance in such a short time, obviously there were some long driving days. 2 weeks of the accommodation were very decent hotels. The other week were hostels; Nashville in particular was one of the worst hostels I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in over 50 hostels.

The range of cities visit allowed for a great experience. Music lovers in particular should love the diverse styles encounted on this trek.

I still remember every little detail of that Trek. It was such an amazing experience and I made great new friends on route. The whole trip was so different from others and destination even so. in every city/town was something different and new and I just loved it to explore the area we stayed in. The most amazing memories.
