Welcome to the `City by the Bay'! You'll soon find out why San Francisco is much, much more than just the Golden Gate Bridge - although that's a great place to start. You’ll join the rest of your group and your tour leader at 18:00 for a welcome meeting, but until then, why not explore what this compact and diverse city has to offer? You could visit the largest Chinatown in the US, or discover where all the sea lions hang out when they're in town. Pier 39, in case you were wondering...

Today you'll be heading out into nature to experience America's most epic national park, Yosemite. It's awesome vistas galore as you drive past towering cliffs, out of this world waterfalls, and pretty meadows filled with wild flowers. As you hit the trails on your second day in Yosemite National Park, make sure you keep an eye out for wildlife also roaming the trails such as deer, elk and - if you're lucky - bears. With over 800 miles of trails within the park, a great place to start your adventure is on The Mist Trail hike, where you'll pass two of Yosemite's most beautiful waterfalls, Vernal and Nevada Falls. No matter which trail you head along, you'll have a blast. If that isn't enough, you can even float down the Merced River on a rubber ring for a totally different perspective of this truly incredible place.

No words that you read here can truly do Las Vegas justice; you simply have to experience it for yourself. It's a world-famous hotspot for wild partying, a forest of flashing neon and pumping music, home of epic roller coasters, and a treasure trove of quality restaurants and massive shops. So where do you even start? How about with stroll down The Strip - you won't make it all the way along though, as it's a whopping four miles long, but it's a great way to experience the buzz of this crazy city. The food here is as big as the partying and with an all-you-can-eat buffet included, you won't leave Vegas hungry. Included is a party bus so you and your fellow Trekkers can feel like celebrities as you cruise and party your way along The Strip! No matter what you get up to in 'Sin City', just remember 'what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas'!

Things really hot up today, with a visit to Death Valley National Park. Sitting on the border of California and Nevada, it’s known for being one of the hottest, driest and lowest places on Earth. Temperatures can hit the high 40s in the summer, and these temperatures have created a fascinating landscape that visitors from all over the world come to see. Towering sand dunes and seemingly endless salt flats create a barren, other-worldly spectacle that’s more than worth sweating for.

Leave the desert in your rear-view mirror - you're off to San Diego with its bronzed bodies, big shades and baggy shorts. There really is no better way to wind down after an epic road trip than by chilling out on some of California's awesome beaches. If you're not ready to relax just yet, make sure you visit the famous Belmont Park on Mission Beach or head to the Gaslamp Quarter where you'll find the heart and soul of San Diego's party scene.

The final leg of your journey takes you up the coast to the 'City of Angels', but it's not over just yet! With the California sunshine on your face, visit Hollywood Boulevard for a stroll along the Walk of Fame and grab yourself a photo of that massive Hollywood sign that you've only ever seen on the big screen. And that's a wrap! If you’re staying in town a bit longer, check out the Griffith Observatory for incredible views, Santa Monica for beach life and Beverly Hills to rub shoulders with the rich - and possibly famous!
