AMAZING TREK

Reviewed September 2013

This was my second trip with Trek America. The previous one was the Mountie which involved camping. This time around I wanted to try Budget Lodging.

This Trek was excellent and had an amazing itinerary. Added to this our tour leader Tyler had an amazing knowledge of all the stops and really went out his was to make sure everyone was having a good time.

Particularly I enjoyed Washington DC for the sight seeing and Nashville which had amazing music and a great atmosphere.

The Budget Lodging side was also good. Some stops were better than others, but generally the hotels/hostels were clean and comfortable. After this trek I have decided that Budget Lodging is my travelling style.

I would definitely recommend this trip, and I have already booked a further trip with Trek.

Wicked destinations and great experiences

Reviewed September 2013

This was my second trek and it was just as amazing as the first. This trek had an amazing itinerary and there were no disappointments. Accommodation was always nice and the van became our second home. If you have a good bunch of people, it could be even better. Ginnie springs was a nice little river float and it would have been cool to camp at the springs.

We had an amazing leader who went out of her way to make sure we had the best experience. I would definitely recommend this trek to anyone wanting a taste Of the east coast. I have travelled all over the world and with different tour companies but this trek and this company is by far the best value for money.

Amazing Experience with Amazing People

Reviewed September 2013

Just arrived back from 13 days of fun and adventure. Hotels were good with free wi-fi throughout. Van was clean if not cozy with 13 people inside. Wi-fi in van only up to 10 people so if 10 or more need to be aware of demand of wi-fi. Weather was hot hot hot!. Food kitty wasnt the best idea and was rarely used and only food included was breakfast at some hotels so meals out everyday are expected. Didnt spend as much as i thought which was a bonus. Travelling was long but worth it once you arrived at your destination. Walking boots not necessary - trainers and flip flops just fine. Need bug spray as mozzies out in force and lots of suncream but overall a great experience.

Awesome trip!

Reviewed August 2013

This was my first trip to America, and my first time travelling on my own, so I was a bit nervous! I needn't have worried... The trip was really well organised and I had a great time. Everyone was friendly and we had the best trek leader.

Really enjoyed visiting all the different places... Washington, Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, Miami. Some days were spent doing touristy things (e.g. walking around Washington, visiting Graceland) and others were chill out days (e.g. Ginny Springs, Panama City Beach) The longest drive was about 8 hours, but it's broken up, so it doesn't seem that long. It's nice to see how the country changes as you visit different states. Most of the time we ate out, and the food was really good. We also had a food kitty for lunch which worked well. There are loads of different things you can do on this trek, so sometimes some of the group did different things.

Can't believe the two weeks went so quickly! I'll definitely be back :)

Memorable and full of fun

Reviewed July 2013

This is the second time I've travelled with Trek America and just like before, it didn't disappoint. We were taken round the best sights of the Eastern USA in a way that ensured we did everything we could without feeling like we were being kept locked in a tour bus forever. Our tour included a cycle ride round the key sights in Washington DC, a tour of Graceland, a boat ride in the Louisiana bayou, a visit to the Orlando theme parks and nights out in some of the best spots in America! It was one of my most special holidays ever and I'd gladly recommend it to anyone who wants to see a lot of America in a short space of time.

If I have any grumbles, it would be that our third night, spent in rural Virginia, didn't involve any special sights and that our tour leader, while jovial, understanding and a great organiser, would be a bit much if you're a sedate or sensitive sort of person.
