From atop ancient pyramids set deep in their steamy jungle lair to the depths of the warm Caribbean Sea - we explore and discover the rhythm of life as we travel through the vibrant lands of Mexico, Guetemala, Honduras and Belize.

FLEXIBLE ITINERARY
Our routes have been carefully chosen to include the best night stops and highlights. However, as local conditions and passenger requests vary, no two trips will ever be the same. With the guidance of your Trek Leader you may modify certain nightstops and highlights to give a truly unique experience!

Days: 1
Cancun - Merida
Starting in top gear we head straight for the legendary Chichen Itza ruins. This ancient Mayan site welcomes us with its historic temples and secret cenotes before we explore colonial Merida.
Accommodation: Hotel night paid locally.

Days: 2-3
Palenque
Palenque... these spectacular ruins are set in the thick of the jungle. There are howler monkeys and all kinds of birds playing in the tree tops as we climb along the half-covered remnants of this historic site.
Accommodation: Camping included.

Days: 4-5
San Cristobal de las Casas
We visit the mystic Misol Ha waterfall and the cascades of Agua Azul. Stunningly beautiful blue mineral water forms hundreds of little pools where you can swim and relax. "San Cris" is a beautiful city complete with authentic indigenous markets and nearby traditional villages- perfect for a glimpse into their culture.

Panajachel Guatemala
We cross borders into Guatemala. No words spoken or pictures seen can prepare you for the dramatic beauty of your first view of Lake Atitlan-set deep in its own caldera and surrounded by three enormous active volcanoes. Then, the famous markets of Chichicastenango are another world.

Antigua
Majestic Antigua is one of the best preserved colonial towns in Latin America. Surrounded by smoking volcanoes and filled with cafes, bars and restaurants, it is the perfect place to enjoy superb coffee and great nightlife.
Accommodation: 3 x hotel nights paid locally.

Copan Honduras
Entering Honduras for our third country on the trek! Copan's ruins exquisitely carved alters and temples are unique to the region.
Accommodation: Hotel night paid locally.

Days: 12-13
Poptun Guatemala
Back into "Guate" for adventure, relaxation and excellent food. This working ranch has been welcoming travellers for decades and prepares us for Tikal.
Accommodation: Camping included.

Days: 14
Tikal
Beneath a jungle canopy teaming howler monkeys, flocks of raucous parrots and gracious toucans sits the fabled ruins of Tikal. Slender pyramids topped with temples reach to the sky and majestic monuments line the plazas. This is the most exotic site of all the Mayan ruins.
Accommodation: Camping included.

Caye Caulker
We travel east into Belize and on to the island paradise of Caye Caulker, with an opportunity to swim with playful stingrays and sharks as we dive through coral gardens and beautiful azul seas.
Accommodation: 3 x hotel nights paid locally.

Caribbean Beaches
Back to Mexico's Mayan Riviera... Sun, swimming, diving, exploring the jungle underground cenotes (caves), dining, sipping a cerveza on the beach and much more... Oh yeah- this is "la vida loca".
Accommodation: Camping included.

Days: 21
Cancun
After soaking up the sunshine for one last day, we say farewell to Mexico. Adios amigos!
Tour ends at 18:00 hrs in Cancun on day 21.
