From San Francisco, we head out across the Sierra Nevada Mountains en route to the crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe, with a full day in majestic Yosemite National Park, one of the most spectacular wilderness regions in the USA.

Flexible Itinerary

Our routes have been carefully chosen to include the best night stops and highlights. However, as local conditions and passenger requests vary, no two trips will ever be the same. With the guidance of your Trek Leader you may modify certain night stops and highlights to give a truly unique experience!

As this tour departs at 0800 in the morning we recommend that you book pre-tour accommodation. Please request hotel details at the time of booking.

• Day: 1 San Francisco & Lake Tahoe

  Head for the hills and the shores of Lake Tahoe and discover why it is the choice destination for locals to kickback and relax. Swim, kayak, hike or enjoy a myriad of water-based activities in this picturesque setting and top off your evening with an optional sunset catamaran cruise before trying your luck on the Nevada side's many clubs and casinos.

• Day: 2 Lake Tahoe & Yosemite National Park

  After crossing the 10'000 ft Tioga Pass, we get our first glimpse of this incomparable landscape of glacier carved cliffs and cascading waterfalls. Make your way to Yosemite's famous Nevada Falls for unparallel views of El Capitan's sheer granite rock face.

• Day: 3 Yosemite National Park & San Francisco

  Departing Yosemite, we stop at a grove of towering Redwoods. Another impressive display of mother nature's handiwork, these are the tallest trees in the world, growing to over 120 metres in height. We finish our journey back in the 'City by the Bay', famous for its Golden Gate Bridge.
  Meals: Breakfast & lunch included.
  
  The arrival time in San Francisco depends on each group, but we generally aim for a 3:00pm arrival. If you decide to fly out this day, please do not book a flight before 8:00 pm which will give you enough time to catch a shuttle from the hotel to the airport and be there 2 hours before departure.
