The Trailblazer was the most amazing experience of my life! I can't even begin to put into words just how fantastic it was! I got back 4 months ago, & I'm still so depressed to be back in England. I'd never been to the USA before so after contemplating doing a 3 week trek, I decided to go all out & book the monster 9 weeker!
The things that I saw & experienced over the 9 weeks were just outstanding. Quad biking, jet skiing, helicopter over the grand canyon, independance day in Key West, sand dune buggying, nearly getting married in Vegas! The list was endless! Moraine Lake in Canada - the most beautiful place in the world. Chicago, Seattle, Colorado - I'd move to these places tomorrow. Enjoying the 4th July celebrations was absolutely wicked! Meeting americans - they're the most friendly, welcoming people in the world.
The friendships that I made will be lifelong - within 24 hours we felt like we'd known each other a lifetime. Spending 24/7 together makes you so close so quickly. My fellow trekkers were like my family & I miss them so much now. Paul Ferrall & Mex Barrows were the most amazing tour leaders & made the experience even better.
We had a reunion last week in England & managed to get 12 of us together for the weekend which was absolutely brilliant! It was like we'd never been apart & I'm so grateful to have met these people. Also I met my boyfriend on our Trek & however cheesy it may sound, we think that fate brought us together on our trek - so thanks TrekAmerica for getting us together!
If you have any doubts about whether or not to do the Trailblazer, you absolutely, 100% have too!! It will change your life I guarantee! It's the best way to see America & having an American tour leader who knows the country just makes the experience so much better. I miss the Trailblazer so much & it has been the best thing I have ever done in my life. However much of the world I travel around, I still don't think anything could beat my trek. The people that I was lucky enough to travel with made it a millions times better than I could have ever imagined, and i just want to thank you all for giving me the best experience of my life! xxx
